Thryve Splice joins multiple video or audio clips into one file, right in your browser. Drop your clips, arrange them in any order, cut each one to the part you want, reverse, mute, or set the volume on individual clips, then export a single MP4, MP3, or WAV. Every frame is processed on your device by FFmpeg running in WebAssembly, so your clips never touch a server.

Add MP4, WebM, MOV, MP3, WAV, or M4A files, up to 5 GB per clip. Drop several at once to build a sequence, or start with one and add more clips inside the editor without losing your work.

Arrange the sequence
Move clips up or down to set the playback order, duplicate a clip to repeat it, and remove anything that does not belong. The list order is exactly the order of the final file.

Shape each clip
Open any clip to cut it to a precise range on its own timeline, play it backwards with the reverse toggle, mute it, or set its volume. Scrub the sequence preview to any point and see reversed clips play back reversed, at a lower quality than the export, before you commit.

Frequently asked questions
Does Thryve Splice upload my clips?
No. Your clips are processed entirely in your browser using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Only the processing engine itself is downloaded the first time you export, and it is cached for future sessions.
Can I merge clips with different resolutions or formats?
Yes. Splice conforms every clip to one output profile before joining, scaling each one to fit the output frame and letterboxing anything with a different aspect ratio instead of stretching it.
Can I reverse a video?
Yes. Toggle reverse on any clip and it plays backwards in the exported file, including its audio. You can reverse one clip in a sequence or all of them. The sequence preview renders a reversed clip reversed too, at a lower quality than the export, so you can check it before you commit.
Can I control the volume of individual clips?
Yes. Every clip has its own volume slider alongside its mute toggle, so you can bring one clip down without muting it or affecting the rest of the sequence.
Can I add more clips after I have started editing?
Yes. Use Add clips in the editor to drop in more files at any point. They join the end of the sequence and your existing arrangement, cuts, and settings stay exactly as they were.
Can I join audio files too?
Yes. Drop MP3, WAV, or M4A files to build an audio sequence and export it as a single MP3 or WAV. Video and audio files cannot be mixed in one sequence yet.
How is Splice different from Thryve Cut?
Cut polishes one clip: you shorten it and control its export quality. Splice combines clips: you arrange several into one sequence, with per-clip cuts, reverse, and mute along the way. If you only need to shorten a single video, Cut is the faster tool.
Is Thryve Splice free to use?
You get 10 exports a month at no cost, and one joined file counts as one export no matter how many clips are in it. A one-time Thryve Splice Pro purchase removes the limit, and it is also included in Thryve OS Pro.
Does the exported file have a watermark?
No. Exports are clean on both the free tier and Pro.
