Does Thryve Redact upload my file?
No. Your files are processed locally in your browser. Only the AI models required for detection are downloaded the first time you use the tool.
Is the redaction permanent?
Yes. Confirmed redactions are painted directly onto the page image as solid black boxes and the file is re-flattened on export, so the original text underneath is destroyed, not just covered by a layer that can be removed.
What kinds of information does it detect?
PAN numbers, Aadhaar numbers, payment card numbers, email addresses, and dates of birth. You can also manually add or remove redaction regions before exporting.
Can I undo a redaction before exporting?
Yes. Every change like toggling a detected box off, drawing a new one, resizing, or deleting can be undone or redone with Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z until you export.
